Nothing to add to the collective wisdom of the group. Just wanted to use #3000 to say how lucky we were to purchase a little Torch Red Thunderbird way back in Nov 2001 and how much more lucky we have been to make the friends we know on TBN because of it.

There are so many of you that are every bit as close as family. Some of us have travelled thousands of miles together and plan to travel thousands more. Many have planned and put on events in great places that we may never have been if it hadn't been for your taking a risk that others would want to come to the place you are proud to call home.

Some of us don't see each other more often than every couple of years or so, while others see each other regularly, but in both cases the bonds of friendship remain so strong that it is just like yesterday when we are able to be together. We celebrate when our TBN friends are happy or proud, pray when they are down or ill, and cry with them when they feel a loss. We are there for each other in good times and bad. As it has been said so many times before and possibly first by me to Mark501 all the way back at Destin - "It starts off being about the cars, but in the end it is about the people". Truer words have never been spoken.

We truly miss some of our friends that we have lost along the way due to various circumstances, but certainly celebrate new ones that join each day. Thanks to TBN we treasure friendships that have no borders - as Frits says "Sometimes T-birds travel far" - with friends to the north in Canada and across the Atlantic in Europe. Because of these friendships we have been or will be lucky enough to visit countries we may never have considered in the past.

So thanks to everyone that is TBN, especially the owners and Birdwings II for all they do. Hopefully, we'll all be around 8 more years and 3000 more posts from now!

Paul, an echo to what Bill said, you were the first one I had correspondence
with, and you put the 'Original Caravan Group' together, to go to DESTINation.

Meeting you, Rosetta, and Bill Green at the C-Store in N. Little Rock, and on
toward Destin, to meet up with Sally, Dot, George, Mark, Laurie, Charlie, and
Margaret, David, Jeannie and the many more great friends has enriched
our lives, and we are truly grateful.

Little did we know that a passion and love for as automobile could lead to
          lifelong friendships. Thank you!!

Here's to many more miles, events, and good times.

          Thanks Buddy

Well said Paul and I could not agree more on every bit.

When I became a member in May 2005 I could never have foreseen what great friendships would grow from that moment on. I feel honoured to have met you and Rosetta and so many other wonderful TBN members in person during the two great events I visited in US.

It is truly amazing how well we all get along and everyone blends in during these events. It has been sayd before so many times, but it is true: visit one and you will be hooked. Not because of the car, but because of the people.
Our Birds won't last forever, but may our friendships do.
                Thanks all.

                    Timothy,

We were planning on coloring your state red this year as we were hoping for a trip that included most or all of the states we are missing, but it looks like we will be going to Euro Thunder this time. With Frits offering to lead us around Europe, it is just too good to pass up. It is another one of those "once in a lifetime" trips like the one we took thoughout eastern Canada last year.

Oh well, there is always next year. It would be great if some of the folks in the Northwest would put together an event up in that part of the country for us on the eastern side of the Rockies to take in during 2011. I bet you would be surprised how many of us would show up if the timing was right.

It is always great to meet TBN members from places we have never been.

Well it looks like us PNW folks have a challenge placed before us.

Anyone in the membership that is also a PNW resident interested?

I'm a transplant in TX. Born in Kirkland, WA and lived in Washington most of my life' We still have family in the Seattle/Everett area and 'Rosebud' in Mt Vernon, WA is my brother. I really need no reason to travel up there. Our '02 has been up there more times that I can count and the '05 was up there 4 times in one year.
Do an event up there and I'll be there..........

Well said Paul - enjoying the Thunderbird would always be sweet, but the friendships forged through TBN and the various events have made the journey even sweeter.

We need to color in Nebraska and Iowa on your map as well.

Don't worry, Timothy, Paul's "grey" in WA would be green for us as we've had both cars up there. We'll just have to get him to tag along some year.

Timothy, I plan on coloring in a few states in the PNW in Aug and Sept. this year.
Right now plans call for Oregon, Wastington, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, S. Dakota and Nebraska. Depending the timing I may try for Iowa and Minnesota before heading south to Oklahoma.
Hope to be able to meet up with TBN'ers along the way.
