A local dealer has this beauty. He still thinks he can get "New" price. Question, If it has never been titled and you buy it from a dealer, do you get new car warranty?

If anybody is willing to pay that price and not get a new car warranty I would question his right to be out on his own.

I looked at a 02 in 07, when I was shopping for my TBird, that was new and never titled at a Ford Dealer in Illinois. I was told the 3/36 would start when it was sold. I couldn't afford it though. Leroy

I just called them and it's 43k but the sales guy said he's darn sure it can be bought a lot cheaper and yes it would carry the full warranty. He said it's been in the show room all this time. 10 miles unbelieveable! I still don't think it's a good buy once titled price is going to drop like a rock. Beautiful white bird I know if I bought it I'd have to load some miles it. Plus my wife would kill me cause her car would have to sit outside. And in about 45 days the bank would be looking for me too

The "real" story here, imho, is how many Ford Dealers apparently kept T-Birds holed up to attract customers to their show-rooms. The Ford GT's were another such tool. It's no wonder, both are outstanding driving machines. Why shouldn't the dealer get a great price for a great new car?! Some lucky person who perhaps never owned a T-Bird gets a shot at owning a brand-new legendary car: five years post extiction!

So here you have a car that's 7 years old and never used...wonder what that does to the car's hoses, belts & tires? Seems to me it would be better if it had been driven!

I think it would be a great deal for someone that wanted a second chance to own a truely classic Thunderbird. And if there are a few problems with it from not being used the last 7 years, it's under the bumper to bumper warranty. $38,900.00 plus tax in Indiana would be 7% or $2,723.00, so $41,623.00 out the door. Where else could you find a brand new V-8 powered roadster with a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty that's made in America for that kind of money. Somebody will buy it. Leroy

                      Re: New 2003

Is it better to buy a 2003 TBird (like mine) with 16,000 miles, or pay 15K+ (estimated) more for one with hardly any miles?

A collector might make out buy buying the new one and garaging it for a future sale, but a TBird user might do better with the low mileage, cheaper car.
