Driver's side Short Drop Feature Inoperative

Good morning,
The dirver's side short drop feature on my 02 Bird has stopped working. When you go to enter or leave the car the window does not drop the 1/4" or so needed to allow the window to move out of the roof seal. Window is operating correctly via the switches, and the passanger side is working fine. Any hints before I take it back to the dealer? I suspect that this is a common problem(?)

Try re-setting it first, as shown in the manual - Or do a search above on 'window drop' for instructions, if you don't have a manual

You are AWESOME - that was it! The window needed to be reprogrammed! I am humbled and no, I had not read the owners manual that came with the car. Is that not always the tool of last resort - "when in doubt read the manual"? :) Thank you for your advice and yes, I do need to try the search feature on this site. You made my day! I have a week left on my used car warranty and I was dreading driving the 30 miles and half day of time to get this problem fixed. And I would have felt pretty stupid discovering that it just needed reprogramming.

PS - I found a complete set of Ford service manuals for the '02 T-Bird on eBay which are on their way....

Thanks for providing the link for Frank to address his issue with the window. You knew where it was and you did NOT send him off on a hunt.

As I posted elsewhere this morning, I appreciate it when a link is posted to get to a solution of a problem - - -rather than telling us to "Go to", or a "Do a search for", or "check previous threads for".
Some of us are lazy, too busy, short on computer skills, or otherwise impaired. You make it easy. Thanks for every time that you (and others) do that for us.
