    Re: Google your Thunderbird

I started this thread thinking that it would be cool to see if you can see your Thunderbird in Google Streetview, and if not, well maybe next time you check, you will be able to...

Not to talk about poles and neighbors indoor outdoor carpet...

I'm suprised nobody said anything about my hedges need trimming...lol

It is obvious that nobody will post a picture now do to someone might say something like you haven't mowed the lawn this week or you better wash your windows...

Yes, this is an older part of the City and has poles at the side of the street, like any older street anywhere in North America and beyond that has not got upgrading in awhile...

Google Streetview has been out for awhile now but not alot of people don't know about it yet. I have showed a few of my friends and they can't believe it and they end up checking out alot of addresses. We even checked out and walked the streets of places we are going on our trips before we go...

Don't get me wrong, someones opinion about poles is just as interesting and fun to read...lol

I live in a condo on the 10th floor of a building, the parking garage is inside on the first floor. I wish my T-bird was parked out front, but alas it's tucked away in the garage. I could park it out front and take a picture, how about that?

The day that Google photographed my house I had my electrician over installing can lights in my kitchen ceiling. As a result their truck, a Red Sprinter with "Mr. Sparky" painted on the sides is included in the street view. LOL

                Steve -
Dot is correct ... some areas won't have the "little man" over the compass/zoom views. Even though Street View has been out for a couple years, they still have some areas in most cities that are incomplete. We live in a relatively new (5 yr old) suburb of Kansas City and they only have the view from the major street about 1/2 block away.

You can still get a good view from above, but no Bird pics because I've only owned it for 3 months.

Yes, I know alot of areas are not done yet, but if you check in a month or 2, you never know. Our area in Kingston Ontario was done late last summer. Can you imagine having a job driving around in a multi camera car mapping every street in every area around the globe. Wish I bought shares when Google started.

Did not see any poles in your neighbourhood Frits. By the way, never could figure out why they call people from Poland 'poles', but they do not call people from Holland 'holes'. Oh well,

I guess that is the same mystery that goes for oil.
They make olive oil from olives, but they don't make baby oil from babies..

If you want to stray, I have a deck of playing cards from 1880 with the joker showing the gold medals that Bell and Edison won in Paris Exposition in 1878.

Look's like the pole jokes are going to stay here for a long time...lol

The aerial view was taken in summer of 2005 a couple months after Goldi arrived (she's under a black car cover next to my Exped). The street view was taken the day before T@TWH in 2007, just after Moondoggie arrived (under gray cover behind Goldi). If they'd only waited a day, the front yard would have been covered with Birds!

I haven't a clue as to how to post the pic. Can't seem to copy it.

Google the Shacks in Clarksdale, MS in May 2010. Lot of T-birds will be there in front and back of famous Mississippi plantation homes.
