    Re: chrome wheels

I would think they would rub the wheel wells? Be nice if you could try'm before you buy'm. I think a set of Wire Wheels with Whitewalls would look better. Good Luck! Leroy

Thought you were going to a larger, after market rim. I think any retro rim will fit, but some hub caps are not interchangeable. Leroy

Check Dots site. www.portholeauthority.com she has a section dedicated to the various original equipment styles as well as aftermarket, this can give you a range to see what you like. I did the same with my Cashmere, changed out my originals for Chrome and kept my originals if I ever want to return them. I did stay with the same size rim, but upgraded my tire size for a slightly larger size.

I agree, why re-invent the wheel, when Dot's site has already dealt with the matter?

We bought NM wheels from Rick (TBN member, Worldclasswheels) and love them. They reflect the sun perfectly.

Have a great day and enjoy!!!

Rick, last time I asked he was out of stock and had a waiting list.

If you go the EBay route be careful: Nearly all are the gray painted 2002 or 2003 21 spoke that have been chromed.

I think Lonestar has a set on his cashmere. Whether to buy the painted deluxe and have them chromed or find a set already chromed or find the much rarer NM wheels is up to you. The difference between the two are very slight and they fit any 02 to 05.

                        Lonestar's:

His appear to be the chromed deluxe.

In looking over the LA Wheels on ebay, they appear to be the deluxe wheel that have been chromed. and they were probably chromed at the same place that chromed the wheels for most of the other delux 02/03 wheels that you might find sporting those chromed wheels as there are very few places in the US that will chrome wheels. Price is about right since they are in the business to make some money.

Chromed 16 spoke. Had them chromed by a company in California. If you're interested I'll find the name of the company I sent them to.

I'm trying to find it Ron. I know it was "Lake Wheel and Tire", but I'm having a hard time finding their phone number. I'll keep looking.
