LA Wheel & Tire did a set of 16 spoke wheeld for me - reasonable, prompt, wheels looked nice. You will need to either purchase new center caps from Ford or have them chromed as well. Another company, Gene's Plating, in California chromed a set of 21 spoke wheels and I would say they were equal in all areas.

I am looking to put a set of the 2003 refurbished painted wheels on my car. The problem is they do not come with caps. I found four caps on eBay for $120, but they are chrome. Did the 2003 painted wheels come with painted or chrome caps? (And I have already looked on Dot's site; I keep it bookmarked!)

Also, is there a part number for the 2003 painted wheel? The company selling them says:

They say the numbers associated with them are 1W631007AC and 1W6Z1007BA.

Chroming wheels? For anyone interested, there's an ad in AutoWeek that gives 3 year warranty and also says repairs are available. If interested, try their website, chromeyourwheels.com or 909-595-0144

are the center chrome caps for the 02-03 interchangeable due to the NM version has two alignment slots and the chrome deluxe has one slot

The caps are interchangable between the NM and the 02-03 chrome premium wheels.

Chromed 16 spoke. Had them chromed by a company in California. If you're interested I'll find the name of the company I sent them to.

Your car looks great, love the chromed 16 spoke wheels, the two tone and the chrome tail lights covers.

Has anyone looked into chrome powder coating. The sample I saw when I had some other work done looked like the real thing. It is very tuff and you only have to do the area you want.

Thanks...wish I still had it. Tried to buy it back recently but the new owner wouldn't have any of it. Last picture I saw of it, they removed the chrome tail light covers.

I replaced my stock 2003 chrome wheels with 16 spoke 2004 wheels.

I put the 03 wheels on my LS with matching chrome LS hubcaps.

IMHO, the chrome TBird wheel with the LS hubcap (with exposed chrome lugs) looks much better than the TBird hubcap original. Unfortunately, the LS cap has a Lincoln logo, so it wouldn't work on a Bird.

Do you have pictures of your chrome wheels? Interested to see it and have an idea what's best to buy. I am eyeing with the DIP Wheels but not yet sure if that's what i want.
