Dark Metallic Cherry. It was fabulous. It would have been a tough decision whether to stick with my Merlot or go with the Cherry.

I would like to see the retro bird in "Ember Glo",
a 1965 limited edition color. I think it would look
nice with the saddle tan interior and top.
Just my opinion.

I know brown has been an "out" color for a number of years, but I always liked my 72 LTD Brougham 2 dr in ginger-glo with a dealer installed buckskin vinyl top.
Brown with gold metal flake.
Would go nice with a saddle or buckskin interior.
2010 Explorer Limited Edition, tri color white, camel interior
2003 TBird black/saddle
1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL conv't turq/black
2004 Lincoln LS 8 Sport light tundra metallic/medium stone
My only change/recommendation would be that Ford had done the partial white interior on the IG to match the interior of the '57, which would include the white on the door panels.
....Planned colours for '06 ....Standard Colors added..Pewter (HJ)....Standard Colors Deleted....Platinum Silver....Limited Colors Added....Lime Sorbet (HK)...Dark Blue Pearl (DX)....Limited Colors Retired..Medium Steel Blue, Bronze, Inca Gold......There were to be other surprise colours later in the model year...to replace Merlot,VintageMint Green, and Light Ice Blue Metallic.....Performance White partial color accent interior package returns, along with the blue and the red partial interiors....The Light Sand Package also continues.....I wonder if PPG used the new colours here on anything else?

Few colors (or colours) are actually unique. The name may be, but the mix tisn't. Someone with access could research the color names, paint codes, and formulas and maybe come up with something. The new Fiesta, for instance, comes in a Lime Squeeze. Maybe . . . .
Inca Gold was unique or first used on the 05 Thunderbird. I haven't seen it on any other car. Jim Youngs had the paint panel showing the date its code was originally fixed at ppg - which was in Feb. 05 as I recall but could have been late Jan 05 since the 1st cars for IG were completed by Feb 6, 2005.
The light ash hardtop appears to be unique to the 04 PCR hardtop judging from the hardtime owners have had trying to find the right color.
The vintage mint green is unique to the tbird.
Desert Sky blue may or may not be as it has another name - robin's egg blue
Coral appears to be unique to the Thunderbird. The closest color I've seen to it is one used on the modern style VW from 2001 or 2002. BirdsandBugs might know.
Inspiration yellow has no other color name we've been able to come up with so it's probably unique.
Bronze was unique to the Thunderbird in 05 and a new color at the same time like the Inca Gold

Dot, I don't personally recall ever seeing anything in the VW lineup that would match the coral used on the 2003 James Bond Thunderbirds. I assume the color is unique to Ford.
just looked up available colors on the VW beetle for 2002. two that might fit the bill are "snap orange" for 2002 or Sundown orange for 2003. Now to find the colors on a real car.

I've seen them, even commented to my wife that I bet 007 owners were not happy about bugs the same color as their Bond car.

“THE EDGE,
there is no honest way to explain it
because the only people who really know where it is
seems the snap orange is the color from a quick look on the net. It has the same photo glow in the paint that I get when I take photos of the 007 Bond edition. It was a limited special edition color for the VW beetle which may be why you don't see them very often.
