94 TBird blend door

My 94 TBird LX has had terrible heat for years. Car temp is perfect. A/C works fine. Appears to be a blend door issue.
There are times when I hear a metallic clicking noise on the passenger side, and the amp gauge takes a big drop, but rebounds immediately.
I'm not about to pull the dash (been there, done that in a 1981 Fairmont; never again).
Anything here that might be a much more simple fix?
