  • Awesome!

Well after considerable time/money whipping my 04 into shape from previous owner I took it for a spin on the sunny west side.Top down new Crutchfield Signature series speakers all 4,I Pod interface to factory radio(no sat radio in HI)4-new tires/wheels,new outer tie rods,upper/lower control arms back, new links,EGR valve,Mobil 1/filter,changed all 8 COPS, and what ever else didn't feel right. After crusing thru several areas got to some open road and was up to 95mph for as long as I could, car wanted to keep going but not enough highway left.Turned around up to 95mph unitl I had to back off, cruised the rest of the way home with a big smile.
Phase 2 will be some body work for nicks/scratches and some small dents.

    Re: Awesome!

    Good deal:
Reminds me a bit of my T-Bird when I took possession of it from from the used car lot. Structurally and mechanically, it was flawless...but the front bumper that wraps around to the quarter panel looked like it had some waves in the sunlight. Had the dealer replace and repaint before I took delivery.

When the deer ran into my drivers door (3-days later), I had to replace the door and front quarter panel, and get another spray. I had them go ahead and replace all the chrome trim along the windshield that has some curious dings in it when i took delivery. I think 4 or 5 of them, evenly spaced... I can't figure out what could have possibly caused that..anybody? Couldn't be rocks.

Latest replacement: 4 new Toyo Proxis 4 tires. They are great looking tires and perform flawlessly too. No weird side effects I've heard from other tires, like shaking, high noise, or squirrely handling.

The car is like new, and rock solid now, and runs like a beast. It's nice to know that there are some people out there that can appreciate and give these cars the TLC to keep them in top condition.
