John, your bird sounds AWESOME! Way better than the 90's t-birds with the 4.6 on u-tube.

I was going to buy a tuner for it but I don,t want to waste 600.00 for nothing

                WOW! $600 does seem extreme.

It's hard to imagine what you get to justify the expense vs what programing for other cars costs.

If you're compensating for things like new rear gears and major engine work like cam timing and lift changes, fuel management and things like that with custom tuning for your specific application I could see it..... but if the idea is to tweak a couple extra horse power out of the stock set up.......that price does seem pretty steep.

Why so much? Low volume car again?

                  K&N + Borlas!

You can sound like that too.

A lot of what you hear in that video is about the unrestricted intake.

When tuning for engine "sound" exhaust is everyone's first thought but intake noise is a far bigger part of the equation than most folks realize.

That sound is as much about air sucked into the engine as it is spent gases leaving.

No matter what though...... it does sound about 1000x better than the wimpy stock set up though, huh?

                    Re: power question

Steve you have a point. I suppose from inside the car you would hear more of the engine intake sound than the exhaust. Most of the videos on u tube were recorded from the rear of the car. Definitely 1000x better than stock... john
