After reading the threads for my first posting, I decided to put the straps on, at least for a while. I had a heck of a time adjusting the straps that came with the rack. After fooling around with it for a couple of hours I decided their must be a better way so I went to my local Ace Handware store. They had some straps, the same length but with Velcro attachments on the ends. That worked the best. They were easy to put on, take off and adjust. I like the idea of replacing the sticky part of the pad with new double face tape. I'm going to try that soon. What about the felt furniture stick on pads I mentioned in my first position. Is that a good substitute or will the felt scratch the paint?
