      Hi Everyone,

Bob Clarke from Long Beach is interested in a caravan from Long Beach, California. I think he is contacting people from Las Vegas, and points east. He says he will travel Route 66 on the way home. I hope the other people from California get together on this.

        Mike,

We will be leaving Tahlequah on Tuesday June 22nd and will meet up with Bill (15AGAIN), who'll be leaving from Oklahoma City, on I-44 near Joplin, MO. We are planning on staying with a friend of ours in the St. Louis area that evening. There are hotels near where we'll be staying so if you want to join us along the way, we'll be glad to have you.

We'll have about a 430 mile trip to the gathering point at Fremont, Indiana on the 23rd. We will meet up with Gary and B.J. in Effingham, IL along the way as they'll be coming up from Little Rock on I-57.

We haven't set the exact times of these meetings yet but will in the near future.

All attendees and even those that can't make the trip are welcome to join up with us anywhere along the way. We definitely hope everyone coming from our general direction will meet with us in Fremont for the final caravan into Dearborn.

Just moving this up and reminding any that are interested in joining us to make their reservations at the Holiday Inn Express.

We are less than a week away. Doesn't seem possible.

Getting the Bird out today to clean and detail. Hasn't been washed since we got back from the Shacks.

Haven't done this since we moved to FLA. 2 1/2 years ago. I forgot how hard this wax on,wax off thing is to do. I'll get that done today but the interior will have to wait till tomorrow.

I hear you Spence. Mine hadn't been given the once over for a bit either and I spent 6 hrs on it prior to the Shacks. And then it spent the weekend covered in dust and speckled in bugs.

The best thing I did though this year, was to buy a little stool on wheels. What a difference, I just wheeled around the car and had all of the in the base of the stool. Worked great and saved my back.

Must admit that I did a little cleaning on Jewel yesterday as well since she had not been touched since the two little top-down baths we got from Mother Nature in Arkansas on the way home from The Shacks.

Spence - you need to wax on and off a little more often so it isn't such a chore!

Vickie - detailing before The Shacks may have seemed like a waste but I bet it still made things easier this time.

Re: Western/Southern Caravan to 55th Anniversary Event

Caravan members check out these two sites as possible locations for dinner in Fremont:

                      http://www.olelakegeorgeretreat.com/

                      http://www.timbuktoos.com/

Both are locally owned and have received good reviews from the desk clerk at the HI Express and on the internet. Both are close to the hotel and both have reasonable prices.

Looks like the big advantage that The Retreat might have is the view of the sun setting on Lake George.

Since we have caravan members coming from a long way and may be arriving fairly late at the hotel, I suggest we tentatively plan on dinner at 7:30pm.

Looked at both and the Retreat sounds good to me.

Can we stay up late enough to see a sunset??

Either one would be fine although it looks like Timbuktoos has a larger selection.
7:30 time will also work for us. Thanks Paul for setting this up.

I'm good with either place & I should be around 4-5. There's an outlet mall in Fremont and it has a Coach outlet - so I may need to swing by there first.

I'm praying we get there after the outlet mall is closed!

Everyone remember to charge your batteries and bring your radios for the caravan. We'll use Channel 5 this time as a tribute to the 55th anniversary.
