Well, we made it home!!!! My 05 is now with us here in Michigan! Took it to Landers/Mclarty Ford in Bentonville and had the oil changed and fuel filter changed. Upon returning to my parents house the check engine light came on....dealer assured it was emissions due to fuel filter change and assured light just needed to be reset...After a 1hour+ wait to get the "light reset" was now told the EGR module had gone bad.....well I called my local garage and they assured me it would be OK to drive home. So...I did. First tank was almost 25 miles to the gallon!!! What a blast!! Drove most of the way with the windows down.
Now for the bad part...while my mother was still alive she felt the car needed to be driven occasionally. She then promptly drove the right side of the car against the garage door jamb. I knew this had occurred but upon closer inspection was worse than I realized. OH well. While I most certainly wish they still were alive, I am happy the car will be in my garage!!! Cant wait to get the hardtop off!!!
