  • Quik Detailer

Just a heads up for those that use a lot of Meguiar's Quik Detailer.

Walmart is currently featuring a 32oz bottle for only $5.00! Since the 16oz bottle normally runs $4.74, that is an exceptional price and it makes this a good time to stock up.

I've use just about everyone of the detailers on the market and while I like some a little better than others, Meguiar's still does a really good job in my opinion. As far as I know, it was the first product of this kind on the market and I've been using it for years. With 4 of these big bottle on the shelf in the garage, I think I'll be using it for awhile longer as well.

That sounds really cheep. I just bought a 22oz bottle of Meguiars Ultimate detailer at Advanced Auto. I think I paid around $10.00. Not sure because I also got a bottle of RainX and new wiper blades.

      Total Interior Care Spray

Just tried this yesterday for the first time, does a great job.
Left dash clean but not shiney, no sun glare.
      removes smudges & stains quickly.

      Total Interior Care Spray

ICE® Total Interior Care Spray is a thick, gel-like lotion that cleans conditions and protects every car's interior surface. The tight spray pattern provides better control and less mess than a typical interior spray cleaner.

      Product Benefits
      • Removes dust, fingerprints and food and beverage stains without leaving behind an artificial shine or greasy feel.
      • Will not streak or smear glass and clear plastic lens covers.
      • U.V. absorbers help prevent drying and cracking surfaces.
      • Leaves a clean fresh scent.

Paul - thanks! I ran out of Meguiar's Quik Detailer last night in prepping MD for next week, and it was on my 'to do' list for this morning...on my way to Wally World now!

I use a quick detailer named Margaret. So far she does a pretty good job.

Charlie, did that comment get you whacked??

There are two products that do well in detailing.

The good product is on the left and the better product is on the right.

            You can't beat Zaino!!!

Best products on the market IMO.

Rick, she hasn't read it yet. I've got her too busy loading the POD.

                Rick,

Just out of curiosity, what does the Zaino product cost per ounce? Your car always looks nice so I know it works well.

Meguiar's usually goes for about $0.35 per ounce, but with this promotion it is approximately $0.17 per ounce.

That is a pretty darn good shine for the buck.

I think the Ice and NXT detailers actually give a little better shine than the original Meguiar's does, but as much as I use on 4 cars I generally go with the which ever one is on sale for a good price. I have not used Mequiar's Ultimate Detailer so I can't comment on it in comparison to the others and the bang for the extra bucks they charge for it.

Paul, Here's a link to their site. It isn't cheap! Comes out to $.60+ per ounce. The Mequiar's Ultimate Detailer at Wally World prices is $.43 per oz.

I wonder how long that Walmart will have that price. I just purchased a two bottles of the Quick Detailer at Kragen's (soon to be O'Briens, I guess from the radio commercials) so I have three bottles at present.

                      Frank,

I betting it is a special promotion that will go away when the stock is used up. The 32 oz bottles are huge and probably would not be a long term welcome edition to their floor plan.

The stuff is practically good forever. I remember way back when it first came out, Walmart carried a large stock bottle of the stuff that could be added to the spray bottle when needed. When Walmart (or Meguiar's) decided to no longer offer it that way our store put the remaining stock on clearance for $5 a bottle. I bought all they had at the time, gave some to family members and we all used it for years afterward.

Thank You for the heads up. Went to Walmart this morning also picked up four bottles. They don't show the mark down had to do a price check
as they are right next to the sixteen ounce bottles at $4.74.

Thanks for the information on the Turtle ICE Total Interior Care. I need something for the dash and was worried about getting the glare. With our heat I feel I need to add something to keep it from drying and cracking over time.
