I don't think she will be selling many cars on Ebay with a feedback of -1 (negative one)!

She posted her phone #....give her a call:

      Note to Inca Owners:
Cashmere owners would never stoop to such a dastardly deed as borrowing pictures from others.

Glad to see that it was revealed that the pictures were of "other" people's cars. What the heck... they all look the same, right?

      Gotta love Ebay!

Looks like she was bombarded with questions. Not easy selling when something is spotted by a TBN member.

She's also trying to sell a Benz with stock photos.

            don't smell right!

Actually, Not sure I see a problem here 'till I know more.

This person's car has 11,000 miles on it so I assume it looks "as new" same as the main page photo.

Dot should be flattered. She's taken a great picture. Very professional looking. So much so this seller obviously doubts his or her own ability to do so well.

As for any sort of perceived deception on the part of the seller?

Come on. Really. It's a picture of a car on the INTERNET. It's so small it shows NOTHING except a descriptive representation of the car that would apply to any low mileage INCA colored T-Bird in "like new" condition.

We have a few local dealers who do this in the Saturday auto section of the local news paper. rather than continually send in actual pictures of the inventory for sale they throw up a stock pictures on file that most closely resembles the cars in their used car inventory. Often the car shown isn't even the same color as the actual car described for sale beneath the photo.

Then again I wonder. Is it more than just that main page photo?

If all the pictures you can scroll through are of other peoples cars then that would indeed be deceptive. How many of the photos are "borrowed" shots? In this section I would expect nothing less than the actual car for sale. Pictures of Dot's car or anyone else's car would be a fraudulent description of the car for sale. Something I'd expect the owner of that site to have a real problem with.

I'm on a WWII forum also ,members there will post photo's of some rare items . They also have learned to post a logo across the photo as they were being used on e-bay and other sites without permission and for mis representation. Nothing like buying something for 5K and finding it junk.In this case buying a rare Bird not inspecting it before have it shipped and finding junk.

Merlot Blue, I personally don't mind "stock" photo's, however some people will get VERY mad if you use their photo's to sell items. One of my issues with the ad is the woman mentioned that she will be taking "more" photos insinuating that she took the other ones.

I believe on Ebay you are supposed to disclose in the ad if you are in fact using stock photos.

                    Re: Dot, Please read

It also raised questions when: a) she terminated the auction when people started asking for actual pictures of the car, b) she has a second car for sale that also has 'stock only' pictures, and c) only one prior transaction feedback that states there was a problem. Could very well be valid sales, but I'd say buyer beware ...

did you ask about the color of the interior, Ron? The photos also show two different color interiors if you look at the steering wheels.
