Thunderbird 2012?

I was up to nothing this afternoon so I ended up on the computer looking at thunderbirds, as usual, and came across this, just posted this morning:

Doesn't look good to me. Not really much I like about it. Looks like a congolmeration of a bunch of different cars - Viper, Camero, Tbird to name a few.

Wild. But don't panic. Not gonna happen. The guy is a Brazilian designer, not a Ford employee. He just likes to design cars on his own for kicks, from what Google tells us.

some elements of the car I like, particularly the convertible hard top. Looks like a few cars hobbled together, true. But, not a bad attempt. I just wouldn't call it a Thunderbird. Blech... no. The car should stand on its own.

I like the TBird logo in the first image with the turquoise on black background. I tried to crop that image out to see if I could use it as a boot up splash screen on my Nav system but the resolution is too low from the web site. When I resize it to the image I need, it is too grainy.

I guess it's Ok. We really have to get away from the original design and enter the 21st century, but it certainly needs something under the hood to go with that kind of design if it's going to look that sporty. I think they still need to come up with a roof with portholes and a few of the other features in order to keep it a T-Bird.

I think that the designer did an interesting job with the car's trunk, ala 1957. Put a little more rounded edges on the grille, and modify some other areas, and, you never know.
