Bruce - I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you, but I must say that your response next to your "closing quote" gave me a good morning chuckle. Thanks!
I like the TBird logo in the first image with the turquoise on black background. I tried to crop that image out to see if I could use it as a boot up splash screen on my Nav system but the resolution is too low from the web site. When I resize it to the image I need, it is too grainy.
Paul, if you change the DPI before resizing, it looks ok. I just done this at 300 DPI but you can do better if wanted...
My favorite comment below the pictures was the one posted by NAREBMAN:
At no point in the rambling incoherent design of this thing does Oliveira approach anything that could be misconstrued as Thunderbird-ish. We are all now worse off for having seen this monstrosity. I award him no points and may God have mercy on his soul. This looks more like the bastard love child of a Camaro and a Zamboni machine.
I heard from my rep at the dealer that Ford is considering it once again, but it will more than likely be FWD...
IMO, a FWD Thunderbird (which will be a first for TBird) is NOT a Thunderbird, regardless of what it looks like! I do remember reading a comment from Nancy Gioia that when Ford was first considering the reintroduction of the Bird back in 1997, a FWD platform was considered, but dropped in lieu of the shortened Lincoln LS platform (THANK GOD!). Just my opinion.
Me too! But I think they should do something a little more distinctive and go from side to side instead of front to back like everybody else does...
Bird is the word..... Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. H. L. Mencken US editor (1880 - 1956)
They really need to design the next Tbird to capture those 67-69 four doors or maybe the 70 tbirds, bring back those styling cues! (ducking while people throw things at me) Just joking. No that thing looks awful though not a tbird. designed by someone who likes the emblem but knows nothing of the marque.
