Got my Galaxie convertible all ready for the Paramus, NJ, parade Monday.
Hope I don't get sunstroke and/or the car doesn't overheat.

Happy 4th everyone. We just got back from our Wanderer's cruise night at the Chatterbox. DJ Doc South started the night off with the Star Spangled Banner in honor of the 4th. Nearly everyone stopped what they were doing, stood respectfully, removed their hats and sang.
Enjoy the holiday everyone. We're going to see Santana & Steve Winwood with fireworks following the concert. Hoping the rain stays away from KC. My younger son and I got front-row tickets to RUSH two nights ago ... great show!
Last concert was AC/DC, so this year I'll have seen Australians, Canadians, a Mexican and an Englishman but I will cherish being an American! And for last year's Fourth, we saw Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kid Rock ... doesn't get much more American than that.
Happy Independence day to all.
Our local parade was Saturday, the 3rd, so as not to conflict with worship services.
After years of being the only Thunderbird convertible in the local 4th parade (19? beginning with the 65), I was surprised to see 3 more...a NM, an 04 silver with some custom touches and a black one. Nice compliments with my bronze.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY TO ALL. WE HAD OUR TOWN PARADE YESTERDAY WITH SEVEN RETRO BIRDS, ALL CARRYING WORLD WAR TWO VETERANS. MOST OF THEM HAD NEVER BEEN IN A PARADE, WHAT A GREAT FEELING TO TREAT THEM TO THIS.
