This could go under a heading of Broken Wings also. Received an e-mail from Ted's wife Esther that he had passed on June 28th from complications after his cancer surgery. Ted picked up his Red Bird down in Florida and I had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife and looking over the Red Bird for him. At the time he was sick but still wanted to drive to the Florida keys with it. He did drive south and than home to N.C. He put a CAI and Borla exhust on right after he got home. His surgery was very extensive but it didn't get him down a true fighter. He was put to rest on July 1st the Red T-Bird leading the prosession with his wife and son driving. They were sure that would make him happy.

Please let Esther know that our prayers are with her, and with their family.

Darsi had let us know of his illness and placed him on our TBN Prayer List, and for a little while, it seemed he was recovering.
Ted even made a post in the thread following his surgery..

Ed, thanks for sharing Esther's sad news. I never had the good fortune to meet Ted in person, but he and I shared several PMs on TBN, and I was able to talk to him on the phone a couple of times after his surgery. Even though there were severe complications, he always sounded like a fighter and always seemed to have a good attitude. We had lots in common between our love of Thunderbirds, dogs, and Auburn football! I hope his wife and son continue to enjoy that Thunderbird the way he wanted to, and I'm so glad he and Esther got to take that last vacation to the Keys in the Bird - what fun that must've been! Ted will be missed.
