NIEMAN MARCUS H/T on E-Bay?

There is a silver H/T for sale on E-Bay. It shows a Nieman Marcus T-Bird with the silver H/T. I did not see any etchings on the port hole windows and asked the seller if indeed it was a NM H/T. His answer was NO, it is from an '05 and he has the original NM H/t in storage so it doesn't get damaged. Seem's a little strange to me. After taking a better look at the listing,I did see a memtion of an '05 H/T. Now I'm not even sure if it is a real NM Bird. It does have the correct wheels. Are there any other markings on a true NM?

Ron, do they have any pics of the interior. The only other way to really tell if this is a real NM.

The Ebay Ad is pretty straightforward. The owner does not claim it to be a N/M Hardtop, but says the silver top will compliment many colors, and if used on a black T-Bird will look similar to the N/M Edition. Whether he displays it on a N/M Car is a moot issue as only the Hardtop is for sale. I don't see any controversy here.

As James has just said, doesn't matter about the car and from the pics you can see it isn't a NM car, all black seats and no silver inserts.

He says it's on an original NM in the discription? No big deal. I don't think he'll ever get $2500.00 for it. I've got an MSG top for my EB and I got it for $400.00 and it looks just as good. Leroy

This color hardtop will enhance any of the T-Bird colors
(for black t-bird owners it will make yours look like the Neiman Marcus Edition from 2002)
Also: the Pictures Included with top are of a Neiman Marcus Edition T-Bird

After reading the ad,one would think that the car illustrated is a real NM. It's really no big deal but it is misleading.

The sure fire way to tell is the VIN. NMs have a body style code of 64 in positions 6 & 7 and a sequence numbers 100026 to 100225

It was a long time ago so my memory is slipping buy we had a member that drove a neiman Tbird, lived in the same area in Wisconsin and was stockpiling hardtops several years back. He was using many different screen names on here and also kept changing his Ebay Id. He had "used" us in a Hardtop relay to get him a hardtop that he bought from a TBN member and then sold for a profit.

I had the last leg of the relay so I had the "pleasure" of meeting this jerk.

Someone was maintaining a list of the various names that he has used in the past. The person on that Ebay listing very well might be him.

Here is an excerpt from that link. Seems like a coincidence that the top being sold on E-Bay now is from Kenosha,Wis. There are a lot of good detectives on this site.

Just in case yall dont remember this is about the guy who posted all the links to the hardtop auctions on ebay.
It was great until he got caught bidding on his own white hardtop and driving the price up.
The hardtop was posted as being in Chicago but this person of many names actually lives in Kenosha Wisconsin.
My Suggestion is ask around like Sally said and be careful on all the auctions on ebay and else where.
