  • Tbird as a "life" lesson...

Well, my first mini-'Detail' session has shown that my dad is still teaching me things. As a lifelong devoted 'truck' guy ie off road/mud dirt etc. Attention to detail and cleaning was not my specialty..or really a concern. But along comes the Tbird. Who would of thought I would be picking bug guts from foglights, carefully wiping each grille section and laying on the driveway carefully scrubbing road grime off of not only the rocker panel but the INSIDE of the wheel wells.
Even from above, my father(through the Tbird) is teaching me the joy of attention to detail, patience and what a CLEAN grille really looks like.
    Thanks Dad!
Next, time to tackle the engine compartment.(without spraying water)

Not to mention the quality time spent with your Dad.

I know what you mean! My dad passed on a year and a half ago.... I enjoy spending time with him whenever I work on the 84 F150 he left behind.

He would have really liked having a retro Thunderbird, but he stopped driving in 2001 before they came along. Guess I'll just have to enjoy mine for the both of us! :)

I've always kept my cars spotless, and it's rubbed off on my Son. He has a 2007 Shelby Mustang that he keeps in a bubble and his everyday driver a 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab 4X4 with a Triton V-10 looks like the day he bought it. Leroy
