Another freewebsite site, so some aggravating popup ads, but you can see where some of the styling cues for the latest version of the Thunderbird came from.....

This brings to mind a question.
Does anyone know the differences in length width, height and weight between the Baby & Retro?

          Hey John,

          According to this article:
          http://www.hemmings.com/hmn/stories/..._feature1.html

The so-called "baby-bird" had a 102 inch wheelbase with and overall car length of 175.3 inches, while the 2002 Ford Thunderbird has a wheelbase of 107.2" and length of 186.3" Which is quite a suprise, because the new two-seaters have a deceptively small appearance. The article also relates how that the Lincoln MarkII was the influence for the T-Bird's hard top in 1955. Which is cool, because our new T-Birds also have some lincoln influences inasmuch that they are built on the Lincoln LS base.
