  • Weird Without TBN

It is very weird without TBN.
For the past 2 weeks I have been at my son's helping him move into their first home from an apartment. Normally when I visit I jump on his computer do some time with TBN and other emails, but this visit there was no inter-net provider.

Since moving meant changing cable providers he canceled what he had too early in the relocation and I left for home before the new was hooked up.

2 weeks without TBN is difficult, I never thought I become so attached, but what can I say, I certainly enjoy ALL that TBN brings to my day.

Thanks everyone, you all were sorely missed.
    Mike

    Re: Weird Without TBN

    Hi Mike:
Yes, it is refreshing to visit every day. As with anything else it has it's ups and downs but for the most part, very positive and informative.
Especially for new owners, sharing information and keeping up with what's happening as our cars age.
Glad you got home safe and welcome back

I think I could count the number of days I haven't visited TBN on both hands in the past 8 years.

Mike, if you had an iPad 3G, you could check in from anywhere.

To be honest Mike it's been a little to be on TBN the past few days. There are strange cosmic forces at work here but welcome back.

I did do a 2 day miss one time when I forgot to bring my laptop on a trip once. If I had to do a 2 week stretch, I think I would be finding a public library or an internet cafae...

Funny how priorities change through the years on getting info, from newspaper, to TV, to your favourite web sites. There was a time that my first coffee in the morning was with CNN, now it is with TBN...

                    Re: Weird Without TBN

Yes it is tough to be away from TBN for too long a period of time. I don't have internet access at the lake home yet so every week-end I'm without TBN. I did however subscribe to a couple of event threads so that every time a new post appeared I'd get an e-mail which I can pick up on the Blackberry. Now that Sharon is retired and up there during the week I'll need to get connected.

                      Re: Weird Without TBN

Rarely go a day without several check ins with TBN. Might be quick breeze throughs, but they provide a break if I'm getting stressed at work.

As it's been said many times before, this site while it is still about the cars - has become much more about the friendships formed with fellow members. Here we can keep up with each other, banter back and forth, and lend support when someone needs it. That's the best thing about TBN.

I discovered TBN when I was searching for an '05 Cashmere. Now I'm addicted and check in multiple times daily.

Well just couldn't stay away. At the lake trying to post from Blackberry. Posting is difficult as i'm all thumbs typing. Reading posts is a little easiier. Will have to look into an ipad or get connected for computer.

RQTBIRD, I'm just a little South of you near Allegan, Michigan in a Campgrounds and they have Wi-Fi. So when we're up at the Lake I always bring my lap-top. It's an hour and a half drive for us from Portage,In. and with the time differance when we come home we leave there at 6am Monday and am at home at 6:30 Indiana time. Plenty of time for the Wife to get ready and be at work by 9:00. Leroy
