Today there is lot of talk about change and how nothing got better. Well in this case it did get better. I Traded a Mercedes 560 SL for my '04 Tbird and also switched from Benzworld to TBN. We like the bird much better and the web site and people here are so much more diverse and interesting. My benz was my only venture into foriegn car market and never again. My first car (and many since ) was a Ford and my last one will be as well.

Re: Change that DID work
Welcome Ron,
You made a good decision. As for the TBN members they are definately car people who like to drive their cars, like to get and be involved, and drive long distances to events.
You won't find a more happy, welcoming group so plan on attending a TBN event as soon as possible.
Drive it like you stole it !!!

Welcome and happy Birding! Top off? Or too hot?
We kept our '88 560SL, as well as our '65 230SL. The 560SL is nice, but no where near the 230SL in driving fun. The T-Bird has its own character. They are all enjoyable, in their own way.sigpic

Re: Change that DID work
I nteresting how many have gone from Mercedes to T Bird. I have nothing against thw Benz' but learned a great respect for good old American made Ford. I can't justify more than one 2 seater any more and wanted strictly a driver. The biggest benefit is the number of people who can and will work on a Ford, as well as parts availabilty. You can get most anything for a Benz and nit unreasonable but most has to be ordered, kind difficult on a road trip.

Re: Change that DID work
Welcome.
Where is Green Springs, FL.? Our bird is in Orlando.
Check out Tom Aglios cruises; lots of fun and next one is in the fall.
Last Spring we had 40 birds on the cruise and look forward to the next one.

Your bird may be in Florida, but your brain is frozen in some Alaskan glacier. Green Cove Springs is just South of Jacksonville. Very close to SWITZERLAND, FL where I worked briefly in my previous life.
You better begin your trek home now, so that you will arrive back here in time for Thunderbird Spirits in October.Tom
