Yes folks Motor Trend said it was a mistake to name a certain car 2002 car of the year. Stated no power, lackluster handling, and soft ride as reasons why. They also showed sales numbers as a reason to change their minds. Thats enuff to make me buy another one. Found info on at&t homepage.

Re: 2002 Car of the year
Car of the year has nothing to do with being a good or bad car. I talked to someone who'd worked at marketing during the lauch of the Lincoln LS. To be considered for "Car of the Year" they had to submit their advertising plan they'd use if they were to win. I'd say this means Motor Trend will pick the car that will get them the most publicity.

All true most owners of these retro Birds wouldn't know what to do with a
real sports car me included. The selling point for me was the soft ride. I had
a Vette rode like a rock no fun. I just went over an old post " Average Age
Of T-Bird Owners by Bados. Look it up read them all then just go out and
enjoy the ride because it is in fact an old farts car.
P.S. I like post 105 and 121 with a good come back at 122.

Re: 2002 Car of the year
It seems Motor Trend has often picked small, tinny foreign cars, with a small high-revving engine that sounded like a sewing machine, hard bucket seats, and a stick shift over any number of American autos that I would prefer. Just my take on this.
