    Re: The 'sickness' is growing...

This Nitrogen you speak of...does it keep the inside of the tires and rims clean so I don't have to remove them once a month to clean these areas??????Anyone else clean underneath the rim weights? little buggers are hard to get back into place.

I don't do under the wheel weights but I do, on a monthly bases, take each lug nut off and polish it.

What really bothers me are the dust bunnies that accumulate in the glove box!

We are one sorry bunch of pretty sick people. TBN is going to have to consider offering mental health services to members. A few of us are licensed therapists - perhaps we need to open a clinic and try to help with OCD and other disorders.

But, at least we are all a happy bunch of T Birders. We are not aware of our problems - - - and ignorance is bliss. So, just go shopping and buy more polish.

First ever engine bay wipedown....and now, while driving, observed fine layer of dust....wishing I didn't scoff at my dad's duster when I saw it in the garage when I picked up the car....guess its time for another shopping trip!

True T-Birders would know that there are 88 openings/indentations in the grille, and that you have to polish the top inside (recessed) surface because it reflects in the bottom surface...

I also know how many fins/sides there are on my 79 Town Landau turbine wheels.

I take my mine to a Brazilian car detailer. They clean and wax the underside. Those non-public viewing areas come out clean, smooth, and shiny......

Me thinks; many of us go through all the trouble with details, because we know that these cars are a special part of Americana-legacy, and we're likely to get asked to show the car up close or under the hood, sooner or latter, by some wowed (or perhaps just curious) spectator. And it feels gratifying to present such a famed iconoclastic thing as these, both spotless and without defect...er, ah...pass the detailer, please ;-)
