I must have missed it in Dearborn.

If I don't know the difference between Square or Flair, I ought to know better.

Sorry, my fingers typed what my head told it. It is my head that is to blame.

Met a guy at a show the other night with an unrestored 66 500 XL convertible with factory a/c. I asked him what the mileage was.

      8,000

He says that the original owner either bought it or was taking care of it for his son. The son died in Viet Nam.

Car has been through a few owners, but is still basically original.

Yellow with a pale platinium interior.
2010 Explorer Limited Edition, tri color white, camel interior
      2003 TBird black/saddle
      1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL conv't turq/black
2004 Lincoln LS 8 Sport light tundra metallic/medium stone

My first car was a 49 Ford coupe with a Flat head merc. engine that belonged to a guy killed in Korea. He was home on leave about a mont erarlier and told his Dad he wanted a plymouth, so Dad sole me the car for $100.00 several years later.

          Hey Rick!

No problem it is a common mistake in identity, but of course being the owner of a Flairbird I know the difference. So tell your head not to fret since next time it will remember the difference.

My head wouldn't know the difference between a quarter horse and a palameno..........we all have our strengths.

Besides, you're one sharpe dude (for an old guy)!

            GOBIRD

My dad had the exact same Galaxie as the one pictured... except for the engine. We had the 289... but it was an amazing engine with a ton of power for its size. We musta gotten lucky has this one really performed.
            Thanks
