  • Retro Bird on greeting card

I enjoyed a great visit with my daughter Shelby, in Washington DC. We went to the Air and Space museum, had lunch and did the Post Office museum before taking a break in the heat of the day. Shelby ran a twilight 5 K race. There were runners from Kenya (14 minutes), and I took some photos of Shelby. It was 98 degrees as she crossed the finish line. We went out for Chinese after. Sunday morning we met for Mass and then went to the "O street Mansion for brunch...5 brownstones strung together with secret passages and way cool place...10 million calories for brunch. Cool neighborhood for architecture and foreign embassies. Shelby worked Sunday afternoon so I stopped at Pentagon City Mall on the way to Reagan National Airport. There I waited and waited. I saw that storm drive across the airport... powerful. One perk of delay and stand by staus was bulk head first class seat by window and view of Monuments at night from above. Home after midnight.

    BUT...
While at the Mall, I looked in Paprus. I found this card. The nose is a little low and pointy, but the hood scoop reveal, chrome windshield trim, door outline, head rests, 7 spoke wheels, rear deck valance profile, and tailight/rear bumper silhoutte...say Thunderbird to me,

Papyrus is the maker of the card. I've seen it at the American Greetings card store here in the mall in Palm Desert, CA. Check for it at the American Greetings store nearsest you!

Reminded me of another make, The Jensen so did a search and found this brochure page:

I was amazed at the look alike seats in the Jensen-Healey - from 1974!

I know this is not T-Bird related, but just in case anyone is interested. The World's Best time on a track for 5k (3.1 miles) is 12:37.35.

Ordered and received. I didn't realize that it is raised to give a 3D effect. Separate chrome wheel discs & hub, chrome windshield and surround, & headlights. Also a very thin chrome outline for accent. If you collect and especially if you have a red bird, I think you would like this item

Thanks, Steve. Something else to add to the TBird/retro Bird collection.
