  • anyone interested in Sat. radio for your bird.....

would anyone be interested in installing an OEM surius or XM radio in their 02/03 bird? I just had it done and am very happy with the results.

Ahhhh, I think the point of OEM is that there is nothing to actually see. Depending on the install, you may get a little bump on the trunk or dash, but it's not that exciting. Most folks hide them.

        Steve,

I have two birds and in my 03 I added Sirius with one of those external radio key pads etc.... I love satelite radio. However in the 02 I just bought, I want to add satelite but do now want to change the appearance of the interior at all. This bird is low mileageand has the black and red interior I have wanted for years.

My question to you is does this OEM work through the existing radio so that other than the antaena I do not have to look at any alterations? I am assuming it does.

        Thanks so much.

I think Charles asked what I meant to say.
          Thanks.

I don't have OEM on my Bird, but I had it on my '04 Escape and '07 Mazda 3, and now on my '10 Ranger. As noted, it's all tucked away and hidden. The only thing to see is the antenna - and with our fiberglass bodies you have a number of hiding options so you can go completely stealth.
