Observations of a non dearborn attendee

I just recieved Pauls video and it is fabulous for any T Bird owner to have. It really makes you appreciate what a great job Ford has done with the retro birds, and gives a great look at t brds then and now and all the ways they are displayed. Surprising how few 58-60 were there but a huge sample of the 55-57. I can only imagine what being at Fair Lane must have been like to a life long Ford fanatic like me. It's sad to think of how many of theese great retro's are not being driven. They will never be worth as much as 20 or 30 years of enjoyment on the streets. Theese newer T Birds are so much more driveable than any predocessor

I drive mine as much as I can but not in the Winter months...

Yes, I was surprised at how little of the second generation was there (58-60 years. Elvira time). Must not be that many survived that era...

I would love to own one, and in this case, Black...

Thanks Bob! I missed seeing Y'all, too!
I watched the posts during Dearborn, just waiting for reports and pictures.
Just about "killed" me to be missing it!

How long has it been?? Don't get me to lyin'!
But, I do know, it's been far too long!

In looking over past events, I've only missed Motown Thunder, Savannah Thunder, Battleship Thunder, and of course Dearborn, of those listed.
Seems to be those Northern Meets that I miss....I've been to most of the Meets in the Southern most States, Arksansas and Las Vegas, including our side trip to Zion Nat'l Park!

You need to come on down to Texas in May, 2011!
