    I found installation instructions from another manufacturer, hoping they will be similar. I like the key fob remote idea too.

        I have installed it, but it's not wired up yet.

        I have it so it comes out in the gap in the bumper and not below it, this does mean i had to remove at least one of the spanners that spans the gap.

        I'll post pictures or a video once complete

            still haven't wired it up. Not sure how with the battery all the way back in the trunk...

            Is there any 12 volt source to tap into under the hood?

              There is many sources for 12vdc up front. On the pass. side front corner there is a black lift up lid over a fuse & relay box.
              With a meter you should be able to find what is hot all the time & what is hot only when the ignition key is in the run position and what shuts off with the power delay when the key off.

              I would like to know what circuit you finally decide to use.
