  • Gnomes were in my Thunderbird

I bought my Inspiration Yellow 02 in 2002, have taken it on 2 major road trips and many club events and drive it often. I've detailed it maybe a million times.

Today I was vaccumming the carpet when I noticed a knob on the front of the driver's seat.

I think gnomes put it there, and I think they came with that group from Texas and Oklahoma when they were here for the Thunderbird 55 in Dearborn!

I'm sure it was never there before and I've kept my 2002 factory stock.

Unless you have 2 knobs, the single knob is for the lumbar adjustment in the driver seat. Passenger side does not have one. Turn it while seated and you will feel the seat adjustment in your your lower back to give you more or less lumbar support to your back

Somethings I just noticed in the past couple of weeks.

The gutter lip sewn into the soft top.

You cannot open the trunk by reaching inside
the car if the alarm is set.

Or, maybe I'm just so old I forgot these things.

        Wonder what else I've forgotten

PaulD is absolutely correct. It's been there all along, Steve. Lately, George has been readjusting the seat in my 02 and I've had to adjust the lumbar support several times since.

PS, John, that's exactly the picture I was thinking when I read the subject.

John, is that a Travelocibird? If you bid you get a 1974 Chevy Nova.
