    Re: Extending the Extended Warranty

I received a form titled National vehicle Service Contract Applications, Terms and Conditions. It was signed by the dealer. I also received a brochure titled Ford ESP Premium Care. I also have a credit card receipt for the payment. Is that all I am supposed to have?

Had I gone with them, my '03 would be under warranty until 2014 at which time it would be 11 years old and I would not be able to buy another extended warranty. Ford will not sell an extended warranty on a vehicle over 10 years old.

THANKS LOU for suggesting I do 3 years now and then in 2013 go for the 4 year plan giving me coverage until the car is 14 years old. I'm another of Lou's happy customers!

        Hi Richard:

Thanks for that fine endorsement of what I did for you. With every TBN member who calls me I try to guide them to best ESP scenario possible.

          Fums:

That is all you need. Your VIN is registered with Ford ESP HQ in the States and Canada. Pull into any Ford dealer, they will run what is called OASIS. With that form they'll know what ESP you have.

            Re: Extending the Extended Warranty

Lou, thank you so much for getting me my ESP! I had a two-year AAA warranty (a decent warranty) that cost me more than the four-year Ford ESP that Lou got for me. Not only did I get twice as much for the money, but also the Ford ESP is a better product. And working with Lou is easy. He is a genuinely nice guy, patient and professional. I must have asked him dozens of questions over a two to three week period, and he was always incredibly honest and helpful -- all this while he was recovering from surgery. Again, thanks, Lou. My best for your continued recovery.

Try your Bank or Credit union. They have some good rates

                  Re: Extending the Extended Warranty

I called Lou today based on the recommendations of other members. I was very pleased with his professionalism and immense knowledge regarding the warranty. He's definitely looking out in the best interest of our members and will certainly do the best he can on a deal to continue to have our birds run clean and safe. I recommend giving him a call if you are considering extending your warranty in the future.

I talked to Lou the other day and found that he can also get me a great rate on extending the warranty on my 08 Malibu LTZ through GM. What a guy! Leroy

                      Hi Doc:

Thanks for those kind remarks. Thanks for the best wishes for my recovery, which is coming along nicely. Happy to help any TBN member with an ESP for their TBird or any car in their stable. I just spoke to another TBN member yesterday. I gave him a quote on Ford's Premium Care ESP. His local dealer priced the very same coverage $800 higher than my price.

Anyway, anyone can call and I'll help them out. My office number is 630-925-7590. Monday through Thursday is best for those calls, which I prefer over e-mails.

                        Hey Lou!
Got my 3 year plan today and wanted to publicly say thanks for a fantastic deal. I opt'ed for the 3 year which will allow me to purchase a 4 year plan just before the 10 year limit expires ... so, I'll be calling you up then.

He's a pro and a pleasure to work with ... give him a call.

Thanks again and keep up the great service for all TBN'ers!!

                          Hi Jay:

Cornhuskers icon, eh? I am a Michigan State alumnus and I hear the Big 10 has welcomed Nebraska into the conference. As long as we both agree to hate Ohio State we'll be friends. I'll be watching UofM vs. Notre Dame today.

Anyway, very happy I was able to help you out with the ESP. Thanks for the remarks and recommendation. All are welcome to call me with questions and/or to purchase the ESP for their TBird.

                            Re: Extending the Extended Warranty

You got a deal! "the" Ohio State (sorry, I can't give them caps) will be a good substitute next year for the Huskers' dislike of Texas. I was also glad to see Michigan hand ND the loss.

My son was accepted at UofM and considered enrolling there, but he decided that Husker Red looked better than blue (maybe because our college visit to Michigan was on a -5 degree day with 40mph winds!).

We drove our Husker T-Bird up to Lincoln last weekend and found it was much more appreciated in the land of the Big Red. We get compliments in KC, but there was complete admiration for our shiny red beauty in NE.

Thanks again for your assistance and hope your recovery continues to go well.

                              Re: Extending the Extended Warranty

Today I gave myself and my T-Bird a gift.
With the help of lmartun here on TBN I purchased FORD's ESP premium
48 months/48K miles warranty. This will take my T-Bird out to 2014 or to 85,000 miles.

With one email & 2 phone calls it went quickly & smoothly with Lou handling all my questions and kept me at ease. He knows his product and how to make it fit your own situation.

Having Lou here on TBN has been great, his knowledge and experience of the auto industry is a real asset to us all. Got questions about warranties contact Lou.
