The only fuse I see in the Owner's Manual and in the Ford Wiring Diagrams manual is #18, for the entire audio unit. "Hot at all times." 20A

            Re: fuse

Judging by the wiring diagram on page 130-3 (Audio System), it's #F4.18. You can also see it more definitively on page 13-4 (Power Distribution). Middle of top diagram.
And according to pages 11-1 and 11-2, that's found in the Battery Junction Box, not the Central Junction Box nor the Auxiliary Junction Box. See pages 160 and 161 of your Owner's Manual (if it's the same as my '05). There it's called the "Rear power distribution box".
Anyway, it's the fuse box in the trunk, next to the battery in the spare tire well. Fuse #18, 20 amp.

thanks alot, the problem I am having is that when I had the stereo installed they did not have the wiring harnest for the amp and I need to wait about a week. So I have no base at all going to the speakers So I am hoping that taking out that fuse give me some base. This is temp. until they get the harnest in. I will also be switchingg over to jbl speakers are they 6x8s in the door and the rear?

Be sure to take out #18 in the trunk, which is for the subwoofer amp. Don't take out #18 in the passenger cabin; you'll lose the radio.
As for the speakers, I hope one of the more sound-savvy Nesters sees this. I'm not into fancy stereos - just hooking up my MP3 player is as far as I care to go. I'd rather hear the seagulls and the engine!
