Re: 1955 TBird Sightings
Here you go, Ron. A list of what was standard and what was not on an early Thunderbird.

The first tbirds were basically "a la carte" as were most other Ford models of that era. Very little came included other than the basics to make the car useable to a driver.Limited Edition databases for 007 msg..#26 , PCR sticky, and Cashmere msg.#64

Re: 1955 TBird Sightings
I like the transporter! I've been a member of the American Truck Historical Society since 1983 and never have seen one like that. It's set up to go to the west coast, with sanders in front of the drive wheels and tire chains hanging behind. Very unusual. The T-birds are quite a sight ,too. Looks like they have a protective tape under the hard top behind the door handle. John

Re: 1955 TBird Sightings
The twin 4 barrels on a 56 was a Dealer option which was made available from Ford mid-year. Came in a kit. I think it cost about $100 but I would have Dot check out the details.T-Bird Obsessive Compulsive (TOC)2002 Blue/Full Accent Blue/Blue/White

Re: 1955 TBird Sightings
Lindy, you might need to explain that a little better.
The dealer's only got these birds in one or two at a time at the most for the first couple of years and I don't think it changed much after that.
I don't recall anyone lining up one of each color those first years when they got together for an event.Limited Edition databases for 007 msg..#26 , PCR sticky, and Cashmere msg.#64
