He might be talking about a bi-xenon conversion. Don't know if a kit is available for our Birds. While I like them on my BMW (came from the factory), the thought of converting an older vehicle scares me.
SilverStar Ultras here. Better then OEM but if you drive at night a lot their life expectancy is not real good. Additionally, halogen auto lamp bulbs start fading from their original brightness and it happens at a rate that you do not notice it unless one goes out and you only replace one instead of both. The SilverStars and SilverStar Ultras, as noted, do not last as long as normal halogens and they start dimming from new illumination rather rapidly.

It was a smile in every mile
Gotta love that American Ride

What night driving i do is short,20min each way, dinner, movies etc. Not alot of street lighting here so good illumination is important and you never know when you're going to get caught in a heavy down pour.I guess it's a trade off good light/short life.
I got ElectroSport Halogen Headlights in one of my vehicle. Its glass lens on the headlight assembly is optically engineered to provide sharp beam cut-off in order to illuminate the trail ahead w/o blinding incoming drivers.
Can I assume there haven't been any adverse affects like fuse issues or excessive bulb heat on the lens covers by any of those that have converted to the Sylvanias?
