We debuted in Port St. John Saturday. There were over 300 cars of all types - hot rods and wild customs of every description, new cars (including 2 Shelby 500s), pre-WWII antiques, lots of '50s and '60s, etc. But only three Thunderbirds: two red '55s and my bronze '05. Nothing else in between. A handful of Mustangs. A bunch of AC Cobra replicas.
I parked next to one of the '55 Birds, so we could exhibit the first and the last of the breed. His '55 was actually a rebuild, using a '55 basket case with a '56 front.
I didn't collect any tin, nor did I expect to; just like to participate. Just a few trophies went out, mostly to the rods and customs.
I think I sold a few retro birds. Lots of old farts like us considering switching from 'Vettes etc. to Birds, or just adding them as comfy, classy rides. Talked to a couple of retro owners who were showing other cars, and gave them TBN cards. One wants to sell, another was a new owner who wanted soft boot, etc. which first owner had eBay-ed separately, and liked my chrome add-ons. Told him about Thunderbird Concepts.
Photos were taken after our hoods were back down, and most cars had left.
