    also the ac condensation is trapped in a compartment under the exhaust and is desinged to evaporate from the heat if that water sits in there over a period of time becomes stagnate and when the car heats up and moves water splashes out and hits the hot exhaust and creates an unpleasant aroma

      I have not had my hardtop on since I drove the vehicle home from the dealer in August. It is my softop that is getting wet in the rear corners. Seems that the soft top is getting water between the flap that meets the bottom of the glass window. this stays wet and hence the musty damp smell. I will recondition the soft top and deodorize with a product I bought from Thunderbird Concepts.

        To me that suggests a leak around the window. If true, that needs to be fixed before any other actions would provide any benefit.
