I had a guy at a service centre say the same stupid thing about being a V6 and front wheel drive and happily corrected him when his come back was well the V8 must have been an option. I have V8 symbols (ala 03 - 04) on my 02 as well.
Then I watched him try to cram his 6'4" frame into his yellow Crossfire coupe..........maybe he just had V8 envy?
When I take my 64 Thunderbird hardtop to car shows or crusie nights the one that I get most often is, "My dad or grand dad had one of those but it was a hardtop that went into the trunk" and no matter what you say you can't win..........so now I smile and say, "yes those were a very rare car"; followed by a quiet wisper to myself "U dumb a--".
