auction results for a celebrity Tbird

Was owned by John Travolta according to the hype on this auto auction. Price realized was very good so name must have helped.
Auction says it's an 02 but no vin# shown and it does have an 04 wheel.

25,000 euros or about $34,000 US

so googled John Travolta Thunderbird and found where it had been for sale previously but the wheels look like 02 wheels:

There are several pictures on that site including what is supposed to be his signature on the dash trim above the glove box.

Further investigation shows it was also up for auction a couple of years ago.

Looked at the wheels on a large picture I found. The front wheel is an 04/05 wheel and the rear is an 02/03 wheel. also looks like the hub cap did not fit on this picture but they finally found a cap to fit for this auction.

Just about any item that is linked to a celebrity and can be certified as such will sell
for well over the normal value.

the old timers used to tell me when I messed with antique cars many years ago that the story on a car was usually worth more than the car. Many cars I saw had fabricated stories with them. The internet has cleaned this up somewhat.
