    Re: THUNDERBIRD SPIRITS CRUISE

But, as always it not about the cars.. it's the people who drive them.

I'm still sorting through the 400 + pictures we took and will be posting a slide show of some soon. Also will be posting a link to all of the pictures for whoever wants to access them. Stay tuned!

          Re: THUNDERBIRD SPIRITS CRUISE

This was our first time attending one of Tom's cruises. Boy, what a great time. Outstanding event, well planned, great gifts, and most importantly great people. Probably one of the largest T-Bird events I have been to in Florida.... 56 cars - mostly new generation, but some older birds a 1956, 1962 SR (mine), 1964 (Rob's), 1964 Conv, and 1967.

Many thanks to Tom and Crew... and the guys at Mullinax Ford.

          Job well done!

            Rob,

I loved having those older Birds with the group! Hope we see you again at the next one!

            Stewart,

We'll certainly work something out on the slide show.

            Ed,

You're telling me that Jester hat didn't keep you cool?

CONGRATULATIONS TOM on what appears to have been a spectacular event. I know what it takes to have such a large affair and have it be successful, and you continue to out do yourself. What a wonderful gesture towards others.

We drove top down the whole way home! We hit a huge traffic jam on I-4 near the Disney parks, a car burned on the right shoulder and traffic was barely moving. But we got home safe and sound, so we're thankful for that. Great pics Brian, enjoyed.

                          Re: THUNDERBIRD SPIRITS CRUISE

Several people at this cruise were asking Judy and me about our 50th Anniversary Thunderbird Reyn Spooner camp shirts [post 30]. We bought these shirts back in 2004-2005, they've been out of print for some time now. I searched around for a little bit just now and these are not to be found. I did find Tom's shirt I think:

                          http://carshirts.com/Ford_T-Birds.html

And I found one XXL shirt like ours:

                          http://www.iclassifieds.com/forsale/...an-shirts.html

I can't speak for these sellers or endorse them, I just did keyword searches, so buy at your own risk. I couldn't even find any on EBay. I'm glad we got our shirts when we did. We have a few other styles too. I found out during my search that Reyn Spooner no longer makes car shirts. That's too bad, they did a good job on them.

I made a page of all of the pics I took at the event. Click on a pic to enlarge it, and use the arrows to move through the pics.

Be sure and right-click the link and open it in a new window or tab if you don't want to leave the TBN site. The forum software does not allow you to put an automatic blank page into the link.

We are newbies to this forum and attended our first T-Bird Cruise over last weekend. We met many very nice folks and hope to see them again at future cruises. Kudos to Tom Aglio and his family for all the effort they put in to make this a super event. Tom is such a beautiful person that we felt privileged to meet him.

Hey ED !!! Just back from our L/M/F Dealer. Problem is the "Blender Actuator". After normal usage it resets to 180 (mid-point). after prolonged usage on the same side, ie, either heater or A/C, it does not go back to the mid point, but rather 150, 130, 90, 70, etc.... Therefor next time you ask it do do the opposite of your normal usage, it does not start from center. If it is just the first time, it is an easy computer reboot. But repeated failure, requires the unit to be pulled and the actuator replaced. FULL WARRANTY :-) but time consuming. Luckily for me, I have a good Service Dept, was first for me, but with FL Winter ensuing, they changed the unit for me.
