From a first-timer, what a great bunch of people! After six months of posting here, I get to connect some faces. I even found my father (though he's only about five years older than me, judging by when he said his HS 45th reunion was).
Too busy gawking and yakking to take many pictures; here's a couple:

a little off topic.. but can't let it go......

Martin..... I was there too. Do you remember the TIGHT security that FORD made us have with that Concept Bird back then. We had to keep it under lock and key with a peeled eye.

Yes, we had to put it inside the hotel overnight and with those straight pipes, it had quite the sound. However, they were not too bad as they let us take pictures with the concept. Should have lots more but can't seem to locate them. Trying to remember you from the event. I was concourse chairman at the time and a bit busy at times.

                    Re: THUNDERBIRD SPIRITS CRUISE

I have been wanting to attend a gathering of T-birds since we bought the car in June. Thunderbird Spirits was chosen as our first because Tom's events are well known as the best. PLUS we could stay with my dad who lives in Leesburg and enjoy my stepmom's classic Florida cooking. A health issue kept my partner from coming at the last minute and my dad was more than happy to be my co-pilot. We both had a wonderful time. Thank You!, Tom, family and crew for this special day!

My dad is now fully schooled on T-bird colors, as all colors were repersented, and on options as well as aftermarket goodies. He can not, however, tell what year a T-bird is by quick glance if it is white, red or black, but I can't either!

Dad and I told of our great day to my stepmom and she listened to us go on and on about how well it went and the fantastic people we met, the food, fun and all. She did pose one question, she asked me if I had gone into Mullinex Ford's show room and looked at the new T-birds.

It was well worth the ten hour drive down to Florida and ten hours back to NC by myself. I hadn't done that in years. I was "Bird Watching" while driving south and north and the total count on my trip was 3 Merlots (2 had sand package), 1 Desert Sky Blue and 1 Torch Red (which was on a carrier heading south for the winter. A snow bird for sure!) Being at a gathering of 56 T-birds was an amazing sight! (Are we counting the MR-2?)

The BondBird got her wings spread but good and now is showing 6,200 on the clock. Some weird glitch stopped the CD player from ejecting a disk just as I crossed the NC/SC state line on my way south. All the way down I tried to make it work with no luck. After I got to Leesburg it ejected on it's own and I had no problem with it on the drive back home.

                    Again, many thanks Tom!

                      "...(Are we counting the MR-2?)..."

Awe crap. Ya let the secret out of my little guessing game I had going. 56 and 1/2 T-Birds. LOL. It fit right in nicely...especially with the Thunderbird Script on here fenders and in the appropriate placement as well.

Was great to have ya there. Bet ya won't forget your serial number again hehe.

the CD thing was just a Pedro trick. Ya didn't stop did ya. Geez, there were enough signs.

Saturday.... What a day! The Tbirds came to Mullinax Ford in Apoka, and they came and they came. And when you thought there would be no more, some more came! Dealership lot attendants moved more cars out of the front lot, and more came! What a sight!

As I stood at various corners waiving in what seemed like an unending stream of TBirds, I can tell you more than one passing car slowed down to gawk at the parking lot to their left, or the missed the light turning green. The look of amazement on their faces was priceless.

We cruised through town in three groups of around 18 cars a group.

                              and be merry!
