    Re: Daily Driver?

Don-absolutely buy it! I got my all black 03 this year in February. She had 51,000 miles on her & now she has just under 53,000. She is my daily driver-lots of in town driving. She rides like a dream and not one mechanical issue so far. I did not purchase the extended warranty because my husband can do any repairs she may need. I absolutely love my car! If you've always wanted one, go for it. It is hands down the best money we have ever spent! She will be my daily driver for many years to come.

there are some HEALTH issues driving a tbird everyday...so i would not recomend it....1st is the sore neck, from having to turn around and look at it as you walk away after you park it...2nd is the sore throat from having to say thank you, everytime someone says NICE CAR and 3rd are the sore mucseles in your face from the constant SMILE.you have when you drive it......BUY IT at your own peril.......

On Tuesday I drove down to Deerfield beach and parked with the top down .It's a nice area to sit relax as there is penty of grass area close to parking. In less than 15mins. there were 8 people looking at the Bird. One person admitted she owned a MB but it didn't look this good, another person walked up to it and said to his wife " This is sweet ". I guess this is what makes us love the car.

            Re: Daily Driver?

Hey guys and gals, thanks for all of the responses. I think you've convinced me to buy a 'bird (and a ESP). I lost the opportunity to buy the white '03 - somebody bought it right after I left the dealership that Saturday afternoon. But, I've got an appointment this Saturday with a local Ford dealer to look at a '04 with only about 2,800 miles on it. It's only about 2K more than the '03 and ,hopefully, we can make a deal.
            Thanks again!

              Re: Daily Driver?

My T-bird is a daily driver. It lives in Staten Island NY. Its been driven in rain, sleet and snow storms. We bought the car with 6 thousand miles in 2007. The car now has 38K on the odometer. In the time, we have had the car, the only issue we have had is that the clockspring went bad on the drivers side airbag (This means the airbag won't deploy in an accident). I have the part in my trunk and just need to install it. Other than that the car has been incredibly reliable. I will say it does get stuck in high snow though.

Most, but not all, of my LS problems started after the 30,000 mile mark.

My 3 COPS issues were not a result of moisture.

We have the Whisper White 2003 Bird with Black Hardtop. My wife used it for a daily driver in Florida, now we moved back to Massachusetts and our daughter and son-in-law are driving it up for us as I write. I guess I'll have to get snow tires. My wife loves this car and made me sell my Vette over this one. Have fun!
