Re: How do you know you love your T-bird

I still grin every time I get in it. And the friends we've made, like Spence said ... all because of this car. Name another car or web site that has done what the TBird and TBN have done.
Unbelivable TBN trips including ALL of the lower 48 States plus 9 Canadian Provinces, 8 European Countries, 3 Caribbean Countries, Countless National Parks and have attended well over 100 TBN Events since 2001 and counting. Best of all ... fabulous friends.

By all the TBN friends that I have and all the places 15AGAIN has taken me and I plan to continue making more TBN friends and seeing more new places in the future.

My 05 though beginning it 6th winter(purchased Nov.04) still remains new to us. It is our daily driver.

And it brightens our day, every day.

Plus all the stuff Spence & DavidA said.

Re: How do you know you love your T-bird

Before getting our Tbird in 05. I had found TBN but didn't signup until we had our Merlot beauty in our garage. All of you have been great friends and Spence is right on!! My friends at home sometimes think we are crazy to drive someplace to meet people who also own a Tbird. But WE ignore them cause We have always been welcome at all of the events We have attended. I think TBN will go on for many more years. Looking forward to Pappsitos in January and continually working my route to Kerrville in May.

I love washing Amadeus.......there's something special about following the curves of the body.

Sure wish it was warm enough today to give it a bath! Low to mid 20's won't cut it!

Second to all of the above....... and "I just want to touch it and wipe on it when I go into the garage!" There's just something about this car!

Had to read thru them all to see if I could add more:

1 - You might find yourself getting up in the middle of the night to go look at that Tbird in your garage and pinch yourself to make sure you're not dreaming.
2 - You might find that you dress to match your bird - in colors or with Thunderbird logos
3 - You might find that you start adding Tbird memorabilia to your office desk, then the walls, then the garage gets decorated to show off your car even more.
4 - you might find that the background image on your computer becomes a picture of your Thunderbird

I always feel great when I find a parking space that shows off the car and i don't mind at all a long walk up to it.

LOL! I haven't heard my Bird talk to my other cars yet, but I sure do talk to it quite often. I've even found myself patting the dash while driving telling it what a great car it is. I've never owned a car longer than two years prior to buying my Bird, and I've now owned it over seven years with no plans of ever getting rid of it. (I've had the itch a few times, but I just can't pull the trigger.) Every time I get behind the wheel, I just smile. Everything just fits. The arm rest and console are in the right place, the steering wheel adjusts just where I want it, the gear shift is at just the right distance so I can rest my right hand, the seats fit me perfectly, and I have enough head and leg room to be very comfortable.......and it even gets better after I actually start it and pull out of the garage. Yeah, I love it!
