I just looked at post#1 of this thread again and I believe the price on the 19th of Dec. when I first looked at it was $19,995.00 and today it's $24,995.00? I was just wondering if they called the car Pink in thier ad or Dusk Rose the original name of the color. Also I was wondering what color the car was when shipped from the factory. I would think the lighter colored cars were probably Whisper White with full White interior accent? Leroy
I think Galpin used delux models with hardtops for their Galpinized cars . They could get them that way in 02 and 03 and was their cheapest route to go for the most part. It was probably white body with black interior as they redid the interiors. Then they could chrome the delux wheels or buy the premium wheels extra or swap from another car on the lot. quickdraw would know since the vin# is available.
Since the price appears to have changed, its possible that some employee of Galpin moniters this site or someone informed the dealership of our notice of the bird or somone noticed a bunch of hits to the page coming from this thread.
Just looked, their ad changed since this thread was started as there was no mention in the original ad that the car was a "Galpin original" (see my post #2).
Well, anyone reading this thread that is interested in the car knows how much they can bargain for the car now.
Seems to me it would be easier to color a white part a light color than to color a black part a light color? Also I'm wondering how they changed the color accent on the steering wheel? Leroy
Most were done with 02s which did not come with a white interior option, just red.
They may have used black accent interiors as that was available on the delux.
I used to see this baby around my neighborhood. Once tried to persuade my lady that she would like one, but she held firm to her desire for a metallic blue.
We just found a pristine one owner 2005 Medium Steel Blue with 21K on the clock and she drove it home today. Now the WyrdBird has a younger sister snuggling up to him in his garage. And I have one very happy lady. Very, very happy indeed!
Oh, FWIW, she insists that her Tbird is going to stay 100% stock...

It carries the idea of "turned into" in both the sense of becoming something new and the sense of turning back to an original starting point".

We saw a little bird painted a Dusty Rose which was absolutely beautiful. That is a color I would definitely consider.
Even though "Galpinized" 'Birds were very well done, I wouldn't see myself driving around town in a...pink car! ...C'mon...what people would think of me??...Nah nah...not for me
I wouldn't mind having one in another "Galpin" color (Deep Purple, Periwinkle, Meadow Mist)......but pink ?...no.
