    Der Bingle did a good job!
    i chose to ignore Jalopniks derogatory remark at the very bottom of the article.
    Maybe 1997 also marked the end of his intellectual development....

                  Ron, I have a friend that owns a '56 and it has a padded dash. Google "1956 Ford Thunderbird padded dash" and you will find several references to the padded dash being new to the "56.

                    I AM SURE YOU COULD GET A PADDED DASH IN 1956, BUT THE CAR IN THE AD DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE ONE. THE PAD STOPS NEAR THE CLUSTER. BING JUST SAYS IT IS SOFT.
