Re: What Would You Bid on at Mecum if.......
If you click on www.mecum.com and then click on cars that will be auctioned this January, the first car you see is the 1963 Cobra Dragonsnake. This car has won more races than any other Cobra. It was driven and subsequently owned by Bruce Larson, a former National drag racing Champion. Bruce is a member of the "car guys" who meet every Thursday at a local restaurant for breakfast. All of these guys started racing back in the fifties on the streets and roads around the York, Hanover, Carlisle area. We saw another one of Bruce' cars at the Latimore Valley Racing Museum this past September when we had our rally in Gettysburg. I had breakfast with Bruce this morning at the weekly breakfast which he attends every week. Some of the guys still kid him about how they beat him regularly when they were teenagers. He is a nice guy and if one of you buys his car I'll get him to autograph it for you. It last sold for around 1.25M!!!
