A great joke is appreciated now and then. But excessive levity undermines the usefulness of this normally, very informative web-site!
If the inquiry is sincere, we ought to offer some sincere advice like:
Keep in mind that when the select shift transmission (SST) mode is chosen: transmission has pre-programmed behavior, can start off in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, however, if left in 4th or 5th gear at stop, the car defaults to 1st. And will STAY in FIRST unless shifted out manually! Remember, once in SST your transmission is pre-programmed (from the factory) to take on a special behavior. Lest you "get on it" at the stop sign and rev the proverbial daylights out of it, whilst waiting for the automatic second shift, which will not happen unless the manual shift is incremented, or you leave the SST mode.
I can't say as I disagree, Lindy, except in this thread's circumstance, the answer had already been provided before the humor started. The humor began, IMO, after & because the answer had already put to rest the original question...the humor wasn't meant to replace any viable dialogue as the question had been answered. Sorry if you were offended.
