  • Rumbleseat?

While Thunderbird surfing today, I noticed that Amos Minter produces a Rumbleseat accessory for the '57 bird which looks like it could be a lot of fun and handy for parades. My first thought was whether something like this has been done or contemplated for the retro-birds?

I couldn't find anything like it for our birds. Any reason the same couldn't be done with an '02-'05? Safety issues?

That is pretty neat! Thanks for sharing it. I have never seen one, and was not aware that this had even been done!

I doubt that the depth of our retrobird trunks would allow it.

Having seen those rumble seats before, I think it's a matter of construction differences between the 57 and the 02-05. The 57 has leg room in the trunk for one but the 02/05s do not. They tried to make them for the 55 & 56s but those never came to market because of the difference in size of trunk between 55/56 and the 57.

The 57 rumble seats were built in the late 50s. Amos is just selling one that he has on hand.
