    Re: This is for T

Jim, I've never had the windshield down on the hood, I just keep the bottom pulled out enough to get a nice breeze inside when it's hot, and the bikini top gives me some shade. You need something to keep you cool once that engine gets hot. I never drive it in the Winter, the heater blower doesn't work I guess it might still be 6 volt. And there are no windshield wipers, I only came with one anyway on the drivers side. The vacuum motor stll works but the spline the wiper arm fits on is broken off. I have it plated and insurened and it's exempt from any emissions tests. I don't drive it from here to Michigan or back, I use the tow hitch and pull it with my pick-up. It's like pulling a little trailer. Leroy

LOL well I was just kidding with ya... I have had about 5 jeeps like that when I was in the Army. infact I have an old pair of army boots that while going up a mountain in Hawaii the incline was so steep that the battry acid flowed out and ate the leather on my boots (battry was on the passengers side up under the wind shield area ... where it could get to my shoes) my driver said "sorry"..:) that was in 60-61 when I was a platoon leaded.. I had a wire cutter when I was a Bn. Cdr at Ft. Ord.. :) that was 76-78 .. oh well good memories..

The battery on this one is behind the passenger seat, no room under the hood for it with that V-8 in there, sort of like our TBirds. My anti-theft device is The Club, I turn the wheels all the way to the left or right then lock it on the steering wheel, that way no one can tow it away or drive it. A lot of people have asked me what I would take for it since I've owned it, especially when they hear it run. Leroy

            Re: This is for T

Jeeps are great toys and since Ford and Willys built most I would guess a 289 would be a nice upgrade. I can't imagine growing up and never visiting a junk yard. But then again I never visit a game store. The old WW II jeeps up to about 1950 are pretty hot items around here

Enjoyed the story. You need to take some pictures at the zoo in April and send them on to her, with a note that we took her suggestion seriously.

              Thanks, T
I plan to do just that,,,since she has been to that zoo many times

Perhaps we can arrange a group picture of us in front of the monkey cage visiting our relatives. Then she will know that all the T Birders are in the right place.

This is one of Euro Tbirders. In the second part of the clip, watch as he heads to the garage.
